Dish Decoration

Meat or poultry dish Decoration

Usually decorations for meat courses depend on cooking methods. Don't use lettuce for meat with sauce. Lettuce will get wet very soon and lose its freshness and attraction. Decorations from fresh and cooked vegetables will suit to baked meat ideally. Poultry dish will go well together with citrus plants.

Buds
Make gold buds from potatoes for decoration first courses.
In peeled potatoes cut small balls by using special spoon. Then cut the top from every ball with a sharp knife. Make three bow-shaped incisions diametrically and delete a thin potato layer. Cut three other petals and decorate the middle with a grid. Sprinkle buds with saffron and bake in oven. Put flowers on lettuce or parsley near appetizing chop or ham.

Vine
It is very easy to make vine as a fine decoration for meat or poultry dishes. Usually this decoration is for big size dishes like ham, aspic and etc. There is a tip how to make it.
Peel a cucumber and by using tea spoon make hemispheres. Put them in the form of vine on a meat dish. You can add celery and form a twig with mayonnaise. By using a little brush oil them very carefully.

Crocodile on sandwich

Recently when I was cooking, I felt a desire to make something funny and unusual for my beloved! I thouhgt a little and my fantasy suggested to me the following idea - to make crocodiles on sandwiches! It's quite easy, so you may simply repeat my experiment if you like...
Take slices of bread, butter them and put cheese above. Then take cucumbers (not large) and slice them, but not to the end. Use parsley or other herb to make its pads and tail. Eyes can be made of berries. This is all, the sandwich is ready! Be sure such crocodile sandwiches will greatly please your children, beloved or the whole family!

Chocolate Secret

Chocolate patterns can decorate even the simplest cake. You can make shavings, small, flat figures, numbers and even delicate "knickknacks" and "curls". To do all these decorations you need to break chocolate in pieces and melt it over the double boiler (the water shouldn't boil). Pour warm, elastic chocolate in the small parchment bag. Put parchment on the chosen picture and put chocolate on contours. Then put the paper with patterns in the cold place. When it chills, accurately take the chocolate pattern and place it on a cake.

It's also not difficult to make flat thin chocolate figures with the help of mould. Pour out the melted chocolate on a parchment and make different figures with the help of special cuttings for cookies. It will be very beautiful if you ornament these figures with chocolate of other color (black, white, milky).

Don't despond if you chocolate is liquid. Add several drops of water in the melted chocolate, stirring thoroughly and chocolate will thicken.

It's better not to cover all the cake with chocolate because it will be difficult to cit it. It's better to make an icing - 50 g chocolate + 2 tbsp butter + 2 tbsp sour cream + 2 tbsp sugar). Heat until sugar dissolves.

In my opinion chocolate makes cake more appetizing, that's why I often use it and recommend you to use your imagination and make different patterns to decorate your cakes.
