Fruit Salad
Ingredients :
salad sauce:
200 g mayonnaise
200-250 ml whipping cream
a little lemon juice and sugar
filling:
1 fresh pineapple (or one can)
2 oranges
1 little bunch grapes
2 ripe pears
½ kg canned peach
½ block dark bitter chocolate
Method:
Whip the cream and fold into the mayonnaise a little at a time. Add lemon juice, sugar, white wine or cognac a little at a time to taste. You want a mild, slightly sweet and aromatic sauce. Peal the pineapple and slice it. Cut into small pieces and remove the centre. Make sure that the liquid is allowed to drip off if you are using canned pineapple. Peal the oranges so that none of the bitter white membrane is left. Dice and remove pits. Half the grapes and remove pits. Peal and split the pears. Remove the core and cut into small dice. Drain the peaches well and cut in dice. Chop the chocolate coarsely with a knife.Preparing the salad for the table: Put half the fruit in a large bowl. Pour over the salad sauce. Then the rest of the fruit. Finally add the chocolate. Do not mix the ingredients.
